Hello world!

I finally got my activation e-mail from my webhotel which means I can start working on the transition of this homepage to my own domain. A lot will happen now both visible and under the hood of the website.

But follow me and let us take the ARATNE to the future and really push this forward!

What would you like to see in this homepage? Archaeology, technology, news, reviews, videos or something else? Let me know send feedback and don’t forget to check us out on http://www.twitter.com/archaeologytech, our Facebookgroup search Archaeology and Tech and our Youtube channel Archaeologyandtech!

Hello world!

Here is an update on what you can expect on this homepage, Youtube, Twitter and Facebook in the future and what I’m working on at the moment.

Since I’m often very busy irl and during periods don’t post so much info here, I’m looking into how I can post short news from the world of archaeology and technology to release new content on a regular basis. When I have more time I will as usual post my own thoughts and ideas with the news as well.

I’m currently working on a Youtube video review of the König tripod, there is still some work to be done but it will launch this weekend! I’ll also try to get some other reviews done with some tech equipment.

I’m also working on doing a storyboard for the real trailer for Archaeology and Tech Network. I have quite some big plans for that trailer so it will take quite a lot of time to get it done probably several months as it seems like now.

In my idea of combining archaeology and technology I have started looking into archaeological software on the Internet to start with. There is quite a lot of dead links and old out-dated programs but there is also some really really good ones but that can be very hard to find. So I’ll have posts and videos about good and bad archaeological software as well.

I’m also still looking for Co.partnes so if you have a blog about archaeology, technology or both or related subjects maybe a company related to the subjects, leave a comment below so we can get in touch and maybe exchange information as well as have co-operation in different ways!

If you have any suggestions on what you would like to see here leave a comment with your feedback!

Don’t forget to check us out on Twitter, Facebook or Youtube!

Hello world!

I’m glad to tell you that the first unboxing video have been launched at Youtube. The product is a tripod for cameras and video cameras as well from König photo.

Feels good to have done the first video, and more are coming LED-lamp, Wacoom Bambo One and more so stay tuned for more unboxing videos as well as reviews about different products!

More archaeology and technology news are in the works as well, is a very busy week and I’ve been ill also during the weekend and the first two days of this week. But I’m starting getting back on track!

Hello world!

After a long break I’m finally back again with a lot of things going on.

The spring was very busy, I finished a bachelor essay, got a job as an archaeologist as well as I got married! So it has been hectic but a fantastic spring and start of the summer. I’ve also been planing what I should do with the blog and how it should develop.

So now I’ve started rolling out Archaeology and Tech 2.0. I changed the layout around a bit, added more pages and so on.

The main focus will now to keep the blog live and growing but also to advance a bit to Youtube territory by start making videos. That’s also why I sometime will talk about ARATNE Archaeology and Tech Network.

My idea is to create a platform for technology and archaeology as well as a combination between those two subjects. So this blog will now be more of a homepage with a blog inside.

There will also be a Facebook group Archaeology and Tech. I’m also on Twitter as archaeologytech so add me there as well! The blog will continue giving news about archaeology and tech. For the tech stuff with computers both PC and Mac will be covered!

I will also start to make videos for Youtube about archaeological and tech news and interesting thoughts that comes to mind. I will also make tutorial and guides both on this homepage as well as videos on Youtube about models, photogrammetry, Blender and much more.

Reviewing both gear as well as books and articles will also be posted on the homepage as well as some of it on Youtube.

In the future I will also have a forum with the possibility to discuss archaeology and technology and discuss with people the possibilities of combining science with everyday technology. The forum will probably be on another homepage in the beginning but everything will be in the same place if this turns out well.

Under the links I will build a very large library of good homepages as well as Youtube videos which I hope can be of good use to you all.

So a lot will happen and it will take time so bear with me. I’m working 40 hours a week so all the fun work with ARATNE will happen sooner or later but I’ll take small steps at a time but will try hard to be quite regular on updates anyway in some form and it is major work to get everything togheter before I get a routine to create it as well.

But I hope you all look forward to it as much as I do, we are looking forward towards a bright future!

A lot of texts will be updated as well on the homepage during the coming week so stay tuned for more information. I’ll also post more information about it and present some ideas I hope some of you will be interested in participating in!
